A tryptophan-induced coma leads to Three-Layered Oreo Fudge

I pushed off posting yesterday because I figured an extra day would help get the creative juices flowing, right?  WRONG.  I couldn’t be more wigged out on tryptophan and in dire need of a nap.  I blame it all on the turkey …on the turkey, on the mashed potatoes, on the stuffing, on the pork spring rolls, on the candied yams, on the apple pie, on the tres leches cake, on the brown sugar frosted chocolate pudding cupcakes (recipe to come)…  There’s more.  Oh, there’s always more food.

I’ve been in a constant food coma and I think it’s going to last for weeks to come.  Or maybe I’m just saying that because I’m feeling lazy and want to do jack shit for the next few weeks.

I was going to provide the recipe to my brown sugar frosted chocolate pudding cupcakes today buuut it just didn’t feel right.  I wasn’t ready to let my baby go yet.  It wasn’t time.  So instead, I decided to get down and dirty and right to business.  Today is all about FUDGE.  I made this delicious treat alongside my Chewy Thin Mint Treats and people were in all sorts of sinful food comas after devouring these little babies.  In fact, it reminded me on Madame Weeble’s healthy indulgence with an occasional booty call (of mashed taters).

Easy peasy was the name of the game the day I made this fudge.  I could have done one layer of fudge…SUPER easy.  But no.  I still have to complicate things.  What can I say?  …I’m a complicated girl.  So instead of easy peasy one-layered fudge, I made Three-Layered Oreo Fudge.  Still easy?  Yup.  More complicated?  Only slightly.  Delicious?  Hell yeah.

Maybe on Thursday I’ll feel more inspired to post something more upbeat.  Today you get a tryptophaned-out, decadently-delicious, easy peasy Three-Layered Oreo Fudge.

Damn.  I do complicate things.

Today I’m doing something new.  To FURTHER complicate things, I’ve decided to change up my recipe posting to see how y’all respond to it.  I’m including a print-friendly link for you to get my Three-Layered Oreo Fudge Recipe (like with my Chewy Thin Mint Treats post) buuut this will be the ONLY place that you will be able to see my recipe!  This way, you can easily breeze through my post so you can like it and comment on it at the end :P (HINT HINT).  Also, you’ll be able to save future recipes to your computer or print them out at your leisure :)  Let me know what you think about this new feature in the comments!

And don’t forget to READ THE DANG RECIPE!! ;)

Holiday Wreath of the Day

I leave you with a simple yet elegant Christmas wreath that Mama Bear made for a friend.  If you haven’t already seen it yet, you MUST check out the Batman wreath she made for me :)  It’s super cute and she’s super talented (and cute too! :P).

Until next time, y’all! :P

    Vyv,
You make it so hard to stay on the Fat Flush Plan this week! But I’ve already lost 5 pounds. I’ll save this one to take to a party in December. Thanks! :-)

I think I’ve gained 5 at least. I’m just going to start telling people I’m pregnant so they don’t judge my stomach…they can just judge me in other ways :P Haha.

      You’re welcome!

  4. I know what you mean about all the food. I’m not even in the mood to look for Christmas recipes – I’m still too full from Thanksgiving!

Seriously, right? I think that in my head, however, I still can’t stop eating in real life :( Mentally I’m full up to my ears but I just can’t stop now that I’m on a roll (literally)! :P

It’s very simple…. Make that fudge, send it to me, and I would consider being your mail order groom.

Mail order groom! Bahahahaha! It is very simple. You SIMPLY have to place a nice fat check in the mail for me and then you can expect your fudge shipments once that check clears :P
