Cookies & Cream Golden Oreo Bark

Oreo bark.

Seems simple enough, doesn’t it?

Well it was…and then I had to go and complicate things. What can I say, I’m a complicated girl. Wait, that’s not a good thing, is it? I’m…I’m…oh never mind. Here’s the recipe.

Cookies & Cream

Golden Oreo Bark

*Note:  This is super duper sweet so if you’re not a huge super sweet fan (like me), nibble small amounts or share with friends (like I did :P)*

Ingredients:

  • 10 oz Cookies and Cream Hershey’s Chocolate
  • 12 Golden Oreos
  • Approx. 3 oz of semi sweet chocolate chips

Equipment:

  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Wax/parchment paper
  • Square pan
  • Large Ziploc bag
  • Rubber spatula
  • Snack-sized Ziploc bag

  1. Place the golden Oreos in a large Ziploc bag and crush either with your hands or rolling pin. I didn’t have one so I just used a small can of Crisco :P set aside.
  2. Line the square pan with parchment paper. I used a 8×8 square pan but you can use a larger/smaller pan depending on how thick you want your bark to be. Also, crease the parchment paper to match your pan if you want the bark to sit better.
  3. Break the cookies and cream chocolate into smaller pieces. Place it along with the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl.
  4. Heat in the microwave for thirty seconds and ten second intervals after that, stirring in between until fully melted.
  5. Pour the crumbled Oreos into the melted chocolate and incorporate until well combined using the rubber spatula.
  6. Using the spatula, scrape the combined mixture into the parchment-lined pan. Pat down the mixture with the spatula to make it even, ensuring that the mixture gets to all the edges as well.
  7. Melt your semi-sweet chocolate chips in a snack-sized Ziploc bag by microwaving at ten second intervals until fully melted.
  8. Remove and drizzle over the Oreo bark as desired.

  9. Let the bark set in the fridge for at least 15 mins.
  10. Remove and break apart using a fork.
  11. Store wrapped in the fridge. Or eat all in one sitting. Your choice. You don’t have to go to the extremes that I do. But apparently, I’m complicated. Half kidding…? :P

Enjoy y’all!! I know I did… :)

Thanks Alex!! :) you can find golden Oreos at your regular supermarket right next to regular Oreos! :) you can make any combination you wish so feel free to use regular Oreos instead and come up with your own creation! :D
